Welding Torches

Torches

The torch is the division that the welder manipulates and holds to make the weld. It has a relationship and control device for the oil gas and a relationship and valve for the oxygen, a grip for the welder to grab, a combination chamber (set at a point of view) where the oil gas and oxygen combine, with a tip where the flame forms.

There are two types of torches of the following. The top torch is a welding torch and the bottom is a cutting torch.

Welding torch

A welding torch start is used to weld metals. It can be identified by having only one or two pipes organization to the nozzle and no oxygen-blast generate and two valve knobs at the bottom of the handle letting the operator adjust the oxygen flow and fuel flow.

Cutting torch

A cutting torch beginning is used to cut metal. This cutting torch is similar to a welding torch, but it can be identified by having three pipes that go to a 90 degree nozzle and by the oxygen-blast trigger.

Using this method, you can cut the iron and steel. The metal is first heated by the flare until it is cherry red. Once this high temperature is attained, oxygen is produced to the heated parts by pressing the "oxygen-blast generate". This oxygen reacts with the metal, forming iron oxide and producing high temperature. It is this high temperature which continues the cutting process. The cutting torch only heats the metal to begin the process; remaining heat is provided by the burning metal. The melting point of the iron oxide is approximately half of that of the metal; as the metal burns, it right away turns to liquid iron oxide and flows away from the cutting zone. Some of the iron oxide remains on the work piece, forming a hard "slag" which can be removed by gentle tapping, and/or a grinder.

TIG welding torch

Application:

Specialty Seam Welds and Presure Vessels

Task:

Tig welding torch is plan a system multi-purpose to weld joint wire feed and presure vessels with wire feed and linear seam welding all in one automatic system.

Solution:

Weldlogic AWS-150 Workstation Controlled Power Supply and PWL-24-48 Precision Welding Lathe with dual spindles for holding the presure vessel halves in the tooling and powered the torch in a linear direction for seam welding .

Range of application and relations

Connection types of welding torch cable assemblies.

Z connection:

This Z connection is used for water cooled welding torches as well as gas-cooled welding torches cable assemblies of the older generation.

SZ connection:

SZ connection is a current connection for water-cooled welding torches. It distinguishes from the Z-connection in the outside hoses for cooling liquid.

EURO connection:

Normal connection for universal application.
