Chipsco Precision Services, LLC specializes in microscopic laser welding and laser engraving. Our laser welding process provides a permanent metallurgical bond that matches the strength and hardness of the original component. Our welds yield a repair that is commonly undetected by the human eye and has virtually no sink/distortion. We typically weld areas where other welding processes would destroy nearby undamaged features, causing more time and expense to the repair/engineering change. We can weld in deep slots, next to vertical walls and other hard to reach spots. We have experience with a wide range of tool steels & alloys including, D-2, A-2, A-6, S-7, H-13, 420SS, 440C, P-20, O-1, O-6, CPM 10-V, CPM 3-V, M-2, aluminum, beryllium copper, amcoloy, 304SS, 316SS, 308SS and others. We also manufacture intricate fabrications to the specifications provided. Our laser engraving process provides precision engraving to the component per drawing/electronic file. Our laser engraver is the most advanced 3-D laser system on the market. We can add the engraving to almost any surface. We can engrave all types of tool steels, graphite electrodes, 3-D artwork, logos, cylindrical 5-axis part engraving, part serialization and simple part markings & identifications. We also distribute graphite in rounds and blocks used for EDM electrodes.
